Febuary one fish per month challenge!

I saw this idea on another board and though I'd give it a go on here.

All you gotta do is upload a picture of your designated catch for that given month.. I'll be happy to keep tabs on who's managing to keep thier strike going the longest!

I'll start Febuary off with this early season blush cheeked rainbow!


I'll continue to add a new thread for every new month! And tally along the way...Post a picture to play!

Sounds like fun, good idea Brett! So are we just talking trout or does any fish caught on the fly count?

Yea, a fish is a fish is a fish! Heck yea, smallies, bluegills, stripe, bring what cha got! It's all good, and I'll spend hours just gazing at the computer screen!

Should we be specific on tackle....Spin or just fly? consensus here?! Any of it's good to me!


Of course, Being the joker I am I posted that at the last day of febuary so the official count/tally should probably start off in March..That gives everone ample time to post there pics! I didn't relize what I was doing at the time and wasn't concerned about the date just wanted to get some good pics up some fish on this new playground photography thread!

I'll be starting a new thread tomarrow for March!

Till then tight lines! Everyong needs to get on here and post your opinion on spin gear included or just on the fly!

I vote it all goes! The challenge is just to really see just how many hard core fisherman we have out there. Fishing in the coldest months, and in the craziest locations, during the craziest storms. Share your fish of the month and give everyone a little story with it! Nothing's wrong with a little scoreboard competition either, it won't really mean anything and everyone will be itching to get the biggest or prettiest fish up!

Anyways, this picture you get the fish and the idiot fishing, too. Didn't have any up close shots of just the fish.

Sweet photo's guys, I think this will be fun as heck! It'll keep those desk jockey's happy while they work, while we spend it fishing!

I didn't realize how late in the month I had posted this. Like I've already said, I saw this Photography section of the board and got as excited as a kid a xmas. New playground! So since the late post, I laid out some ground rules for the challenge which is posted in March 08's One fish per month challnege! This way, it makes it fair, and gives everyone the whole month to post thier catch. In other words, this month won't count towards the tally system, it would be unfair as some people only get on here every couple of days!

Everyone's participation is awesome and I think this thing will be a good addition to the thread! We will have fun, while being jealous of someone else's fortunate day on the water, while spaking up a little clean fun to see who has what it takes to keep a streak going!

Awesome fish again guys!

Check out March 08, post your pic for that month, let's get this thing started right!

I think that the Brookie (especially if a native) trumps all others... no matter the saize of the Brookie. Just my opinion. hehehe
