In our quest to make our company different from our competitors we have developed Special Events and Seminars. All of our seminars are free. We do pay to have some people come here for our customers enjoyment but many others do this for free because they want to share their knowledge and also because they are our friends. Years ago we started our Winter Saturday Fly Tying sessions. We would ask area fly tyers to come in and give a demonstration. This proved to be of special interest to fly tyers and it gave them something to do on a Winter Saturday morning. We still hold these demonstrations and will in the future. Also, we have brought in fly fishing celebrities such as Joe Humphreys, Lefty Kreh, Bob Clouser and Chris Helm. Over the years these have grown as our ability to reach more people with our newsletter and now the internet improves. If you buy something here, you will be put on our mailing list as an active customer. You will then receive our Newsletter. Lately, our events have also become larger because they involve more demonstrators and even our manufacturers. For instance, our first Fly Tyers Weekend involved 31 fly tyers, performing all weekend in shifts. Customers came here from all over this part of the United States to attend this event. |

It’s one of our traditions, something you have enjoyed for around ten years. On a cold Saturday, when it’s probably too cold to fish, you can spend the day at Little River Outfitters learning about fly tying. We have a lineup of excellent and entertaining fly tyers for you. Just show up, it doesn’t cost a thing, get a cup of coffee and sit down with a tyer. We usually have two or three fly tyers scheduled so so can move to another part of the store and watch someone else. |

This is a new event for us. It’s a fun day at the store. Dave Hayward the Regional Business Manager that we work with will be here. We’ll also have some deals and you can learn about this incredible company. If you think about what Orvis has done, it is amazing. |

The Little River Chapter of Trout Unlimited along with other groups and agencies will hold the third annual Troutfest in Townsend. The event features fly tyers, bamboo rod makers, artists and displays that educate people about trout management and conservation. On Saturday night there is a conservation fund raiser banquet that has netted $20,000 for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Fisheries Program in two years. |

Lefty will be back again for a Free, two day full of activities, for you to enjoy. Lefty is an icon in the world of fly fishing. His demos’ will astound you. He’ll be here for two days offering free casting clinics, slide shows and book signings. |

This will be our third annual FTW Event. Like previous years admission is free. Last year we had over 30 fly tyers demonstrating for you. Prepare for another great weekend. Plan to stay both days because there will be different tyers each day. |
