We’ll have two celebrities for you to meet at this event. Joe Humphreys the famous fly fisherman and Frank Bryant the owner of Chota Outdoor Gear. These two guys have made huge moves in fly fishing, one an angler and writer and the other an inventor and manufacturer. Both will be here Saturday and Sunday May 13th and 14th.

Joe has been a good friend of ours for years. One of his books, “Trout Tactics” was an inspiration to many of us in the early 1980’s. This is one of the best books ever written about fly fishing for trout. Joe lives near State College, Pennsylvania. He was fishing on one of the local streams when he was younger and he met an older gentleman named George Harvey. George helped Joe and they became friends. George taught fly fishing at Penn State University. Later Joe would do the same. Joe has written some excellent books on fly fishing for trout. He has filmed numerous television shows and has become one of the most recognized fly fisherman in the world. He will be available to meet you and teach you some valuable fly fishing techniques all weekend. And there no charge. It’s all free. Frank Bryant is another close friend. He is President of Chota Outdoor Gear and he has been fly fishing and paddling canoes for over 40 years. His company is headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is a designer and inventor. We remember when he decided to design and sell wading shoes. His products came to the market and we started selling them in huge numbers. One thing our customers liked is the comfort level. These shoes just felt good. Since then Frank has been designing more shoes and waders. They are excellent. We think you should meet Frank, hear his story and take a close look at his products. Frank and Joe met last year at our store and they have become friends. They just spent three days together in California and they plan to fish together this weekend in May. This will be a great event. Plan on spending the weekend in Townsend.
