& Brian Courtney

The advanced class is the last step. Once you have learned these patterns you are on your way to masterdom. In this class you wil learn some of the more complicated techniques and tie flies with many steps. These are also some of the best trout flies used in the Smokies and everywhere.

The Quill Gordon will teach you the quill body technique and give you a pattern for the early spring hatch.

The Blue Wing Olive Parachute will prepare you for tying #20 dry flies and will be a fly you should always have in your box.

The George Nymph was developed by Eddy George and is still one great fly to use anywhere trout are present.

The Blackburn Tellico is a weighted Tellico Nymph with a special color that catches trout.

The Speck is a wet fly that will allow you to learn the technique of spinning hair and this will also give you one of Walter's favorite flies.
