Welcome to the Little River Outfitters St. Croix Fly Rod Store. We have been a St. Croix dealer for the better part of two decades. Based in Park Falls, Wisconsin, this company has been making fishing rods since 1948. Those were probably not fly fishing rods back then. This company manufacturers fishing rods for almost every use. They are, however a large player in the fly fishing rod market.
Most of the St. Croix Fly Rods we sell are made in America, in the Wisconsin factory. The Imperial rod is made in their own factory in Mexico.
St. Croix has always made fly rods that exceed your expectations in performance but at a lower price than many company’s comparable rods cost. The highest priced fly rod in the line costs $520 and it is a double grip 12 weight tarpon rod. That rod is in the Legend Elite lineup where prices start at $410 for freshwater rods. The Legend Elite is very light, similar in weight to rods costing much more.
Both the Bank Robber and High Stick Drifter fly rods cost $430. These have been an instant success, though the High Stick Drifter rod is new to the line. The popular Avid is made in Wisconsin and sells for $240 to $280. And the Imperial, our best seller in the St. Croix line sells for $170 to $220.
I am mentioning price here quite a bit, and maybe that will leave the wrong impression. You need to try one of these great fly rods. You will find they will exceed your expectations in price vs. casting performance. St. Croix rods are covered by a lifetime limited warranty backed by St. Croix Superstar Service. We have enjoyed our partnership with St. Croix. They are great people to work with. Some of our staff own and fish with these rods. I have several. My favorite has always been the Avid. Paula likes the Legend. Some of my best friends own the Imperials.
Give these rods a test drive and you will be impressed.
