Jim started this company making leaders and tippet. Later, he designed and made fly lines. Rio Fly Lines quickly became popular. His unique designs and slick coatings built their reputation as a world class fly line company.
Rio grew through persistence and love of fly fishing. Today, they are still a company of avid anglers, passionate about solving the problems that get between an angler, their rod and the fish. More importantly, they remain committed to developing specialized products that help fly anglers of all skill levels simply catch more fish.
