Tungsten Pheasant Tail Gold Bead
The Bead Head Pheasant Tail is a fly not to be without if you are fishing for trout. This mayfly nymph pattern is time tested. Now you can have the same success but with a tungsten bead for extra weight.
History Note: The Pheasant Tail Nymph was originated in England in the first half of the 1900's by a river keeper named Frank Sawyer for fishing on the River Avon in Wiltshire in Southern England. The fly quickly proved itself to be a worthy pattern. Since then many variations have been tied but all retain glimpses of the simplicity of Sawyer's original pattern.
