Adams Parachute High Visibility

The Parachute Adams has always been one of our top selling flies. It is one of the best dry flies used in the Great Smoky Mountains for trout. It’s been that way since we opened the store in 1994. The Adams Parachute High Vis (Visibility) is the same fly with an orange post so you can see it better. The post is for you, not the trout.

Being a “parachute” tied fly, it rides in the surface film of the stream always upright and low to the water. Trout see parachute flies well. The Adams Parachute High Visibility fly is a year round pattern. During the Spring it mimics a Quill Gordon or Blue Quill. This fly works well in the Summer through Fall well and represents many different mayflies including the Isonychia. When Blue Wing Olives are hatching, this fly tied in a smaller version works during those hatches too. It even mimics a midge in the tiny sizes. The Parachute Adams High Visibility dry fly is versatile and it works well, wherever you fish for trout.
