Hares Ear Bead Head Flashback Nymph

The Hares Ear nymph is a fly that has been around forever and caught no telling how many trout. The Bead Head Hares Ear became an alternative to the original fly, offering weight and some flash due to the bead. Now, the Flashback version of the Hares Ear Bead Head nymph is yet another alternative.

The flashback modification entails tying in a wing case of a reflective material and covering the case with epoxy. Flashback nymphs are very effective. The modification leaves the impression of a bubble attached to the fly. Trout are used to seeing that bubble as nymphs become adults and drift to the surface of the stream attached to an air bubble.

The Hares Ear Bead Head Flashback nymph is a great fly to use anywhere in the United States where mayflies and trout are found.
