Light Cahill Parachute Dry Fly
Anglers love the late Spring and Summer evenings when light or creamy colored mayflies are on the water. Here, we call them Light Cahill though they are actually many different species of sulfur mayflies. They appear during the day and seem to be more prevalent just before dark. The Cahills are beautiful mayflies and those evening hatches are an event for anglers.
Trout love Light Cahill dry flies and the parachute version is probably a better trout catching fly than the original dun. Since they are often used during the late afternoons or just before dark, the post makes the fly easier for the angler to see. And, since a parachute fly rides lower in the water's surface film, the trout can see them better too. This is one fly any serious Eastern angler should have in their fly box.
