Todd’s Wiggle Minnow Shad #6

This is an awesome fly for most freshwater gamefish. The Wiggle Minnow is truly a different baitfish pattern. The body is a foam cylinder cut at an angle at the head so it will dive and wiggle. Most anglers use a sink tip line or full sinking line with this fly. Stripping gives the fly its “wiggle” action and the buoyant body makes the fly look more natural when it is stopped.

Todd’s Wiggle Minnow, especially in the “Shad” color is a great smallmouth bass fly. They work particularly well in the larger rivers. Stripers, white bass and largemouth bass love them too. Brown trout or large rainbows will attack a Wiggle Minnow in the larger rivers. This fly is a must have in your vest or fly box if you target large gamefish.
