Burk’s Extended Body Yellow Stone

The Burk’s Extended Body Yellow Stone is a very good imitation of the Yellow Sally Stonefly. We have been selling this pattern for years and fishermen keep buying then because they work well in the Southern Appalachians and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The Yellow Sally Stonefly appears in the Spring and can be found on trout streams late in the Summer and often into the early Fall. In late Spring, you will see hoards at times on the river just before dark. Trout feed on the adults. Any seasoned angler in the Smokies knows that yellow is the favorite color in the Park and the #16 Yellow Stonefly is a staple for trout. All anglers should have Yellow Sally Stonefly patterns in their box during the warmer months.
