Orvis Mirage Pure Fluorocarbon IGFA Approved Tippet 30 Meter Spool

If you are hoping for a line class world record or if you just want to be satisfied that you actually caught a fish that would qualify, this material is for you. Orvis Mirage IGFA tippet is perfect for adding new tippet to tapered leaders or building leaders from scratch. I use Orvis Mirage fluorocarbon to make my leaders for larger gamefish and saltwater fishing. For the tippet end, I use IGFA Approved Orvis fluorocarbon. I don’t plan to go through the hassle of turning in a line class record. But, I do weigh large fish and sometimes check online to see how I did.

Fluorocarbon does not deteriorate over time like monofilament. I have spools in my boat bag that are several years old. This is great material and I recommend it to anyone. I do use Orvis Super Strong for fishing with poppers and dry flies because it does not sink like fluorocarbon.
