The Orvis Hydros 3D Trout fly line is the finest trout line you can put on a reel. The Hydros 3D is engineered with features to improve your cast and presentation for greater productivity on the stream. The 3D offers incredible frictionless casting for most trout fishing situations. 3D texturing combined with IS, the most versatile trout taper, the new Hy-Flote Tip and the new and improved welded loop, combine to offer the finest trout line ever sold by Orvis.

3D Technology Microtexture surface reduces surface friction, improves floatation, and eliminates tangling.

IS (Integrated Slickness) additive is integrated throughout the PVC layer to provide lubrication for maximum distance, performance and durability.

The core is made from braided multifilament and provides excellent performance over a wide range of conditions.

The Hydros 3D Trout features the Hy-Flote Tip which is made using Micro-balloons concentrated in the front of the line to produce high floating tips.

The new Orvis Line ID is found on the new Hydros Trout Lines. You can quickly and easily identify your line, no more guessing. The lines are printed with the taper, weight and functionality right on the line coating.

Orvis is packaging the new Hydros 3D Fly Lines with a new paper pulp spool, made from recycled cardboard and kraft paper. It is 100% compostable and further enhances Orvis’ commitment to protect our natural Resources.
