Orvis Hydros Streamer Stripper Sinking Tip Fly Line
The Orvis Hydros Streamer Stripper Sinking Tip Fly Line is the best streamer line there is. The line uses the Orvis exclusive 4’ Class V sinking tip and a high-floating body for easy mending. Using this fly line keeps you in direct contact with the fly on the swing. Get the fly down where the fish are feeding even in fast water. The floating body makes for easy pickup. The Hydros Streamer Stripper is also great for still water when fish are lower in the water column.
The Hydros Streamer Stripper fly line has the new and improved Wonderline Coating. Orvis’ latest generation of Wonderline coating is 20% slicker than the previous generation, resulting in the slickest fly lines on the market. The Streamer Stripper line casts farther with less effort, produces higher line speeds to cut through the wind and improve accuracy. Wonderline coated fly lines repel dirt and grime and pick up off the water easier. These coatings improve floatation, and reduce tangles. Wonderline is an Orvis exclusive, patented process applied at their facility in Manchester, VT.
The Orvis Hydros Streamer Stripper line includes the Orvis Line ID. You can quickly and easily identify your line, no more guessing. Lines are printed with the taper, weight and functionality.
Orvis Hydros Streamer Stripper lines feature a enhanced welded loop on the front of the line. This makes leader attachment quick and easy while holding up to repeated use. The loop also helps to transfer energy more efficiently to the leader allowing better turnover.
Orvis’ new paper pulp line spool, made from recycled cardboard and kraft paper, is 100% compostable and further enhances Orvis’ commitment to protect our natural resources.
Line length is 90’. Colors are Yellow with a brown sinking tip. Available in line weights 5 through 8.
