Orvis Mirage Reels increase the drag surfaces as the reels increase in size. The III through VII sizes have 16 carbon/stainless steel disc surfaces. The I and II have 8 surfaces.

All Mirage Reels have a positive click drag knob for accurate, repeatable drag settings and a special handle shape that reduces line catching.

Spools can be removed quickly, without tools and with no parts to fall in the lake or river. The Mirage can easily and quickly be changed from left-hand to right-hand retrieve.

The Mirage is machined from strong yet lightweight anodized 6061 T6 aluminum with a heavily-ventilated spool to shed weight yet keep it’s strength.
