Palsa Pinch-On Strike Indicators
Palsa Pinch-On Strike Indicators are lightweight and buoyant, giving fly fishing anglers the advantage of a light presentation to picky trout. Palsa was one of the early entrants to the fly fishing industry when indicator fishing became popular. These soft foam indicators with a harder shell covering for durability are still used by anglers and preferred by many.
Each package contains 24 indicators which brings the cost each to a very reasonable price. Palsa Strike Indicators are available in four colors, White, Chartreuse, Orange and Pink.
The Chartreuse Color is particularly visible in the shaded streams in the Smoky Mountains. Some anglers prefer Orange. White is most useful in quiet water.
Palsa Indicators can be slid up or down the leader to obtain various depths but loose their ability to stick after a few adjustments.
These are great strike indicators. They are extremely light and easy to cast and they float small bead head nymphs well. Heavier nymphs will pull them under. The most common complaint about these strike indicators is the sticky residue left on the leader. But, under some conditions, especially when fishing with small weighted nymphs it is worth having some residue on your leader to have such a light indicator to cast. Palsa Strike Indicators cannot be re-used after removal from the leader.
Colors are Chartreuse, FL Orange, Pink and White.
