Created by Tim Holschlag, the Blockhead popper has a movement like no other popper made. It is amazing to watch this popper move when it is retrieved. It is not a movement that you would ever expect unless you have seen it before. Totally unique!

Holschlag’s Blockhead is a the perfect smallmouth bass popper when the fish are looking up. The Blockhead works great in moving water, like the tailwaters or freestone rivers we have here in East Tennessee. It is equally effective on lakes. Though this popper was developed in the north woods of Minnesota by Tim, it is equally at home in the Southeast. This popper should be in your vest or boat box if you chase bronzebacks. And guess what? It’s an excellent largemouth bass fly as well.

Holschlag’s Blockhead is only made by Rainy’s Flies and that is where we buy them. Available in a black body with a black tail and red collar or with a white body, white tail and red collar.
