Tullis Wiggle Bug

When you see a Tullis Wiggle Bug for the first time it is reminiscent of the Flatfish Plug we used back in the 60’s. The big difference between the two is, the Tullis Wiggle Bug is made from lightweight foam and you can cast it with a fly rod. The action is about the same and it drives bass crazy, smallmouth and largemouth bass.

The Tullis Wiggle Bug was designed by Larry Tullis from Ogden, Utah. He’s a pro with 6 books and over 100 articles published. This creation of his is gaining in popularity for many species of gamefish including trout. It wiggles like no other fly.

We know it to be a great bass fly and sell it in black, chartreuse and white. The Tullis Wiggle Bug is tied on a #4 sharp stinger hook with a large gape for hooking bass effectively. This fly appears in our warmwater and smallmouth bass collection but don’t rule out trout, stripers and other freshwater gamefish. This is one of the most unique flies tied using foam.
