Welcome to the Fishing Report. Shades of gray. That is what I see looking out the window this morning. The low laying clouds are lifting revealing more of the mountains. I don't expect to see the sun today. I'm not complaining...just having a hard time coping with the fact that it is Winter. There is only 21 days left before Christmas. I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet.
On that subject...remember to tell your family that they can get you LRO Gift Cards without having to drive all the way to Townsend. The can just call toll free 1-877-448-3474 or go to our Online Catalog to order.

Even better than that! If you buy an Orvis Helios Rod sometime between now and Christmas you will get a Battenkill LA, Battenkill MA or Battenkill Bar Stock for FREE!! Just a little something to tempt you.

On to fishing... Little River is still running strong and water temps took a dip overnight. Water levels are falling but I don't see any good change coming over the next several days in regard to water temp. Nymph patterns will be your best best this weekend in the Smokies. Don't forget the split shot. With the streams running high you will need the extra weght to get the fly down.

They are still running alot of water through the tailwaters. The Wautaga was the only one that wasn't running water.

Facebook has become all the rage recently. Little River Outfitters even has a fan page.

We are still figuring out ways to integrate our Facebook page with the rest of the website and Online Catalog. You can add pictures of yourself with your prized catch. I think this will also be a great way for us to get breaking news info to you. Become a fan!

Tomorrow is going to be a day full of fly tying. Jack Gregory will be here from 10 till 2 doing a FREE fly tying demo. We also have a Beginner Fly Tying Class going on. The state of TN does a great job keeping US 321 clear of snow (if it even does snow) so come on up to Townsend tomorrow and expand your knowledge of tying.

I guess everyone has figured out by this part of the report that Byron isn't writing...he hasn't gone anywhere...he just had stuff to do these last couple of mornings. He'll be back at it tomorrow.

Have a great day and thank you for being here with us.
