Welcome to the Fishing Report.  Happy Christmas Eve!  It is foggy in town, as usual this time of year.  Traffic is light but there are a lot of visitors to our little town.  I was at the IGA yesterday and saw a ton of people who I didn’t know.  Lately when I go in there I know everyone I see or at least they are familiar.  Not so during a Holiday.

Paula and I are the only two people working in the store today and we are closing at noon.  Then we’ll get together with friends like we do every Christmas Eve.  The guys shoot guns, trap, skeet, rifles and pistols.  The gals sit by the fire and prepare dinner for us all.  That’s how we spend every Christmas Eve.  I always look forward to that.

As far as fishing goes, I would go today before the front moves in.  I would fish the East Prong of Little River above Metcalf Bottoms and up to Elkmont.  I would use large nymphs with some extra weight or streamers.  You might catch a nice fish.

Tonight might be a washout, literally. The chance for rain is 100%, expect very strong wind and watch out for flooding.  The National Weather Service has posted a warning for all of the above.  Fishing tomorrow might be tough or impossible.  We’ll have to see what happens.

All of us here wish you a Merry Christmas.  We will be closed tomorrow then open on Saturday.

Thank you for being here with us.
