Wow, everytime I've fished up there I couldn't keep them off my hook. Must have caught 40-50 in a couple of hours the last time I was up there.:cool:

You are way ahead of the game if you keep a clean camp. Numbers usually mean less trouble to. Have fun, hope you catch a bunch of fish.

I saw a bear being fed sardines way up Deep Ck and eating sweet horse feed at Hazel Ck. The medical report didn't leave much doubt that the bear had killed him.

You make some good points Jay. I have personally seen people who should know better feeding bears at backcountry sites at Hazel and Deep Creeks. I think bears are getting in trouble in communities...

No idea what happened. I was surprised by how long the autopsy results can take. I don't think there are rogue bears over there causing problems. Lots of people are in and out of that watershed now...

Did they ever determine the cause of death of the hiker? I never saw anything beyond the initial investigation.
