“what breed of dog hair?”
Huh?
They took the link of the main page for one thing.
Also, this site is very limited as to things you can do with it such as hot linking and there is no PM function. As they say though, their...
I am guessing this is appropriate for this folder, has anyone else noticed the growth of weeds (or whatever it is) especially on Ft. Loudon right there from the bank out about 20-30 feet or so? I...
Dropping specific stream names, especially bluelines like most brook trout streams, on the internet is generally frowned upon unless your goal is increase pressure on the stream. Forums such as this...
Another factor could be too many people are having direct contact with the bears as in feeding them and thus doing away with their natural fear of humans. It also associates humans with food.
To...
I tried to attach it as well and it would not go through.
This board has quite a few limitations and this must be one of them along with not being able to PM a member.:frown:
The Tremont area has been hammered the last couple of years especially hard, due to three things I can think of.
The first was last year when the park closed and then re-opened on a gradual...
I don’t think you’re getting my point.
Absolutely EVERY stream, creek, prong, seep is documented in the park, for that matter all over the US. That is not the issue. The issue is when someone...
Obviously nothing is truly “hidden” these days with regards to satellite imagery, however, when names of bluelines are mentioned on forums such as this word spreads fast. Especially for those that do...
Just a friendly reminder about so called "hidden gem" streams.
Once they are posted and named on the internet, they no longer become "hidden". With the dozens of search engines, lurkers, etc....
The thing to remember about July is the high temps and low water that are very normal for this time of year. That being said, you most likely will need to fish the higher elevations. My best word of...
They’re on the lakes. Hit about any lake. Listen for them, but they are slowing down but the fish are still keying on them.
"There are a lot of gems in the park not mentioned in books. I’m just saying that based on the survey data by the fisheries folks, this one isn’t one of them. Also, no offense to dons book, it’s...
Yes it is in the park.
I looked in Don's book as well, my sense is it is so small it wasn't worth mentioning.
I haven’t fished them, but knowing the area I would bet they’re very skinny. In the summer I would bet they get even skinnier.
Give it a shot, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
They are in the area, just not on the water yet.
Fished the Holston today. Below Indian Cave and above Nance’s Ferry . No cicadas there or their music.
Fished the Clinch today. There are absolutely no cicadas there, at least from Peach Orchard ramp to the Massengill bridge. No sounds of them either.
So far at least, the cicadas haven't really kicked in as far as hitting the rivers. That can change any day, but I have not seen them on the Holston nor heard of them yet on the Clinch. By next...
Looks like a little brown stonefly
Imgur, photobucket, Flickr, drop box, etc. Google for others.
The TN side is pretty one dimensional, i.e. Little River. Yes, way more traffic on this side. Other drainages that are more remote and get less traffic are on the other side, IMHO.
To post pics I...
Another thing about Abrams, rainbows only. No browns or brookies there. If you want brookies, it is elevation you should seek.
I have gotten several grand slams but all on the NC side. IMHO, the...
It’s been years since I fished the Horseshoe, you do know there’s actually two, the little and the big? Both pretty much take all day but especially the big horseshoe. The reason for not being able...
Thanks for the info.
I hate to hear this.
