    Default Brook trout hatchery

I'll post photos on a separate post on this thread. The hatchery is back in operation after sitting idle for about 20 years. The brook trout raised here are kept under strict conditions to maintain the "wild" nature prior to being released into the streams in the Tellico corridor. Targeted streams have a history of brook trout and restoration is the goal here. I helped shock one stream back in September to remove rainbows. Now we are anticipating the release of brook trout sometime in the future.

It was definitely used as late as 1995.
