    Default Hello from Cane Ridge!

    Hi all!

I am new to fly fishing and dying to get started! It is something I've wanted to do for many years. I am finally getting to it this year. I am hoping to take the classes at LRO this spring, and if I'm lucky, I may get in on the first one to maximize my time on the water.

Thanks, Shawn! I'm looking forward to this spring. Planning on doing trout as well as warm water on a stream near my house.

I would second this suggestion. Go for it and make it happen for yourself. Not only will you learn some great information; but, you will make fabulous connections.

Classes will certainly get you started. After that, just be sure you leave your spinning rod at home. There'll be some days you might be tempted to get it out, but don't. You have to keep at it to climb the learning curve. At some point you'll find that you're a fly fisherman, and you'll be glad you did.
