stonefly nymph colors for the Smokies

I'm tying some stonefly nymphs for the Smokies and surrounding areas. Black is easy. I've tied some in a dark olive. Yellow and brown are harder. I've got three or four packages of dubbing, at least two of which claim to be yellow or golden stonefly dubbing. Any suggestions for commercially available blends that are close to the yellow and brown stoneflies in the Smokies?

Not a blend, but I like the dispenser boxes of hareline dubbin.
My favorite for stoneflies is the "Hare-tron 12 most popular colors".
I like to blend the yellow, the golden stone, & a tiny bit of the seal brown.
Hare tron is probably my favorite all purpose dubbing. It has a tiny bit of flash, some spikey hairs that can be combed out nicely, but can also be wrapped fairly tight for dry fly bodies. The spikey hairs can be easily removed as well.

A few ties using the hare tron box to give you an idea of its appearance.





On a dry, obviously not as tight a body as you'd get with superfine dry fly dubbing.

Nice ties Granny. I like SLF dubbing for the stonefly nymph bodies I dub. They make a nice black, golden stone, brown, and yellow stonefly dubbing. I like the highlights. It can be a little difficult to work with. Adding a little rabbit, muskrat, or squirrel makes it a little easier to work with. So do dubbing loops.

I like SLF dubbing as well Flyman, although I struggled with it when I first started tying.
Dubbing loops or maybe purchase a dubbing whirler. There are lots of you tube videos of how to make good dubbing loops using things you can find around the house as well.

Need to tie some Yellow Sally stonefly nymphs. My information is that the nymph is a size 10, the abdomen is yellow, and the back (top) is imitated with brown mottled turkey. What about colors of the thorax, head and legs? Please correct anything I have wrong.
