Any wild fish out of the streams is a treasure!! To me, doesn't matter what species. H*ll, I get excited over a creek chub!

Don't fret it man, I was once corrected by my 9yr old(at the time) daughter when I misidentified a baby Brown as a baby brookie. Congrats and hope you get to do it alot more

Good post. Thanks for sharing. From someone who is setting at home sick and can't get outside , it's good to read post and get me ready for spring/summer/fall. Thanks again.

Thank you for sharing your weekend backpacking trip with us. Campsite 18 is a special place that brings back many memories to me. It's a tough hike for me too, these days.

Just now seen this post! Which way did you go in to 18? From Tremont or from fighting creek side?

We hiked Bote Mountain Trail from from Laurel Creek Road. From Bote Mountain to the West Prong Trail and down to BC18.

Look forward to seeing your report. My son and I really enjoyed it.

I send you a GPX file if you want?

Yes, that would be great. My email is alc609@aol.com
Is the Laurel road side a difficult trial? I will be taking my 13 year old.
