    Default Sunglasses

Ok I have three different pair of polorised glasses

Smith optics. Love the lens hate the frames
Costas. Love the frames hate the lens
Some from lro. Love the lens ok with frames

I like a very light tint in a yellow or copper tint but can't find the perfect glasses. I have spent hours trying on different glasses at various places with no luck. I like the costa towers but coasta doesn't have a lens I like

What do you use (brand color lense)?

Maui Jim Peahi model. HCL bronze lens. Great contrast, brightens up the colors, cuts glare on still and moving water. Had them for a bout a year. Love them. Had to save a little while , but the wife came through for birthday present!!!

I buy 5 or 6 at a time from Walmart. No way I'm dropping 2 bills on a pair of sunglasses. I say this after destroying and loosing a half dozen 2 hunders dollar pairs

flyred, hope this finds you and yours well. Having tried and still own all those mentioned above, Shawn. M posted a while back in reference to the Costa's and Green lenses. I took his advice , they are far and away the most clear, color popping, water readable glasses I own to date.

Wished he would have posted sooner and I'd be richer for it. I have several friends that have tried them on and their response has been nothing but outstanding.

About 10 years ago, I left home without my expensive sunglasses on the way to the park. Swung into LRO and bought a cheap pair for $30. They have, still to this day been the best pair i've ever owned. No clue what the brand was. They are pretty beat up now and the lenses are scratched, but I still use them.

I still wear smith sunglasses for everyday use, because they fit me the best and are most comfortable. But I have to admit, their frames are junk with the plastic hinge pieces that easily break.

Went to academy sports today. Tried on several glasses. The green mirror Breck spoke about were very dark for mountain use I thought. The coasta brime in the amber lens seemed nice. Any thoughts on those ?

I have heard amber or rose is best for shady areas like gsmnp but I have never bought anything except blue mirror or that standard grayish black color lens. I use the blue lenses on bright sunny days especially on lakes and the standard color on cloudy days or anytime I'm in the mountains
