Default bow or transom mount for trolling motor

I am rigging a 14-ft aluminum semi-V for river fishing. Thoughts on bow mount vs. transom mount trolling motors welcome. I am leaning toward a transom mount because I view it as less likely to foul the line of the angler near the stern, as opposed to the bow mount fouling the line of the bow angler. Transom mounts are also less expensive.

You can convert most of the transom mount ones To a bow mount, just loosen a screw and spin the head around.

You will want to rig it up as a transom mount so you can lift it up over shoals, etc. I think it would be a struggle to mount it on the bow and try to fish + navigate. Plus, there would not be much give if you hit a shoal.
