    Default Fly line

Looking for a recommendation on a new fly line. I am wanting to get a slow sinking intermediate for unweighted and lightly weighted streamers for Smallies on the French Broad and Holston rivers. I use fast sinking tapered versi leaders a lot on my floating lines , but want to keep a rod rigged next year just with an intermediate. I haven't bought any lines other than floating Rio Outbound shorts for my bass rods in years, and looking at SA, Rio, Orvis.

Oops, I meant to put this in the tackle section!

Bud, I would go with the first on your list...S.A...

I have been slinging the GPX series for the past few years and love it. I am very hard on fly lines and the other brands were not holding up as long. The S.A. wears down as well, but seems not as fast. I would give Daniel an email at LRO and get his opinion. He helps me with my dilemmas and gets me what I need if they do not have it in stock.

I sling the 7wt GPX on the Clinch most of the time.

Thanks Madison, I'm hoping to pick up a box of intermediate for an 8wt this winter.

Gary- I would suggest the Rio outbound int. tip line. unless you want a full intermediate in which case I would go with airflow. I recently revisited s.a. lines and I'm still disappointed in the kinks and coils on the sink tip running lines.....its awful!!

I have an I/S3 Rio Outbound short 6 weight line that I like a lot. They also have one that is F/I you may be interested in checking out. It's technically and intermediate tip, but it's a really long section that is intermediate if I remember right.
