    Default Honey Creek via Honey Creek Loop

    Anyone know anything about this Creek and the fishing along the trail? It's in the Big South Fork are. Thanks!

    it gets a lot of silty run-off from gravel roads. Turns a deep blue-green color pretty often.
    Also gets quite low in the dry months.
    Doubt there's many fish, if any, you'd want to bother with.

    its a great little loop hike.
    gets pretty snakey in the summer so be careful, especially down by the main river.
    hopefullly the big flood event we had recently cleaned out that bend in the river a little bit, rather than add to it.

    It would be interesting to know the ph of that stream. Usually that color is indicative of a high ph.

    I don't think it's worth fishing but there are fish in the creek. I was hiking there last Summer with my boys in peak of drought. Low and behold in one slimey puddle you could see 40-50 fish swimming around. Biggest one was maybe 3 inches. Great Place!
