    Default Why?

Since there isn't a dedicated off topic sub forum, and it's related to the smokies, I hope this is the appropriate place for my question. If not do what you gotta, just prefer you don't tar and feather me.

What is the deal with Parson branch rd? This is the second year it's been closed, iirc, and the only thing I've heard is downed trees. Are they letting it go or are there plans to reopen anytime in the future? Anyone?

I was just google'n Parson Branch Rd. and this is what I had found.

    https://www.nps.gov/grsm/planyourvis...sonalroads.htm

If there were Fires in the area the hazards from burn trees falling on the road would be greater that if they weren't burnt. Or due to excessive rain in the area the ground could be washed out, the root systems of the trees could of been washing out to the point the trees could easily fall over. And with the rain Ya'all been having the road is most likely washed out too.

Good luck on finding out whats going on.
