    Default Felt sole replacement adhesive

Is there a “best” adhesive for replacing felt soles?

Unfortunately; I have not found a durable solution to fixing dropped soles.

Aside from rethreading them to the sole; you could use some kind of flexible glue to set them. Then add screws in an even pattern to help hold them. Hot glue does not work that well for areas that need to flex.

Barge cement. It’s what a lot of shoe shops use.

Try 3M 5200 marine sealant and adhesive. Made primarily for boats, it comes in black or white. It is flexible and permanent so good luck ever getting it off in the future. Get it at Lowes, Academy Sports or Amazon.

Contact cement. Both surfaces to be bonded need to be clean and dry.
