Default Great Smoky Mountain TU & Farragut High School Fishing Club 11-9-19

    GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAIN TU &
    FARRAGUT HIGH SCHOOL FISHING CLUB
    "DAY ON THE WATER" 11-9-19

Thanks to everyone who attended and volunteered Saturday for the first "Day on the Water" event for the Farragut High School Fishing Club!
It was a perfect weather day after a cold start of fishing, great food and fun on the water. From practicing casting to then applying new skills on the water it was a blast for everyone involved. The Great Smoky Mountain TU chapter would like to start off thanking Farragut High School teacher MS Graham and GSM TU chapter member Wes Peters and his wife for their leadership in the club and arranging this outing. Second we want to thank the student club members and their parents for letting our GSM TU chapter be a part of this club.

We also have to thank the chapter members who volunteered their time on Saturday. Shout out to Lou Gauci, Robert Ogle, Sue Stone, Rich Margiotta, Jonathan Reynolds, John & Barb Sorensen, Dave & Melissa Harrell, Mark Brown of Chota Outdoors, Chad Williams of Smoky Mountain Angler, and Dave Carson of Little River Outfitters. A big thank you also has to go out to the L.L. Bean Fly Rod program, because of the companies generosity*we were able to donate two fly rod combos to the club to help jumpstart the club's collection for those young anglers without equipment.*

This day was a big success for all involved and plans are already in the works for more days and activities. We are grateful to be a part of these anglers start on a great journey of fishing and conservation through the Farragut High School Fishing Club.
