Although I have had several Fly Rods over the years, when it's time to feed the Rhodo's I prefer my Sage TXL, 7'10", 3wt -3pc. What's your stick of choice in the mountains?

My favorite rod for years has been a 9 ft 4 wt. But lately, I've been going to a 9 ft 6 wt. I like the extra fighting power of a 6 wt.

Here lately a Scott g 8’4” 4 wt. I also have a couple of Walter Babb bamboo rods the see a good bit of use. For years about all I Fished was a sage 590 rpl 4 piece I’ve had for 25 or so years.
It depends on the water for me. Small streams are almost always on my bamboo when dry flies are being thrown. I also have a TFO 7’6” fiberglass that I use on these small streams. In the bigger water I use a Euro setup quite a bit. 10’6” Cortland MKII is what I use for that. I just picked up a Sage Trout LL 8’6” 5wt that I am anxious to try out as well.
For most smaller streams and fishing, a 3-weight no shorter than 8'. My most-used rods are an 8' 3-weight , a 10' 3-weight, and for smallmouth and trout streamers, a 9' 7-weight.
Specks: the other pink meat.
10’ Orvis Clearwater 3wt with Lamson Liquid Reel for nymphing.
8’9” TFO Finess 5 wt With Orvis Battenkill reel for everything else
I built a 6 ft., 2 wt. rod just for small streams as you find in the park. Have a 7 ft., 5 wt. and 6-1/2, 4 wt. that I use, too. One can never had too many fly rods!
