Little River Outfitters is a family owned business located in Townsend, Tennessee, a gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The shop is owned by Byron Begley, Paula Begley and Daniel Drake. Founded as a fly shop to serve anglers who visit the National Park to fly fish in its 800 miles of wild trout streams we soon became a mail order company. As anglers became friends with the shop they began ordering their tackle and flies. Little River Outfitters grew from humble beginnings in a leased 600 square foot shop to our own 7,000 square foot store.
The staff learned how to fly fish in saltwater and warmwater in addition to trout streams and customers relied on us to rig their tackle for any species they were fishing for. The strength of the shop is the staff. We employ 13 full and part time people who all love to fly fish and take care of angling customers. As a small company we are able to give you the service you deserve.
Driven by demand we designed and maintain this website in house so customers can order online and see the products we sell and service. Our selection of fine fly fishing tackle and flies is beyond compare. Customers like our selection and personal service.
Free Shipping – We don’t think you should be charged for shipping and handling. After all, it costs us less to handle mail order transactions than those here in the store. So we pass that savings on to you as long as you don’t mind ground shipping in the continental United States. We do charge our actual cost above the normal ground shipping for expedited service or shipments made to countries outside the continental United States.
We work hard to handle transactions to our customers outside our country. We welcome all orders from any country and do everything we can to get products to you though it is not always possible to verify credit cards and billing addresses in some countries. PayPal is a good method for payment if you are a customer from another country. PayPal speeds up the process.
