All streams in the mountains are flowing too high to safely wade and fish. Many roads in Great Smoky Mountains National Park are closed due to downed trees. The closed roads include Gatlinburg Bypass, Newfound Gap Road, Little River Road from Sugarlands to Metcalf Bottoms and the Cades Cove Loop Road. Foothills Parkway West (New Section) is closed.
Most if not all stocked trout streams are flowing too high to safely wade and fish.
You might find suitable flows on a tailwater today. Check the TVA website to see what options you have.
The Great Smoky Mountains Association has moved their visitors center and store from the older Townsend Visitors Center to a new location. The new Great Smokies Welcome Center is located on the same side of the road as our store, but on the other side of the entrance to the IGA.
