Tomorrow will be sunny with a high reaching only into the low 20’s.
Sunday will be sunny with a high in the middle 30’s.
Most roads in Great Smoky Mountains National Park are closed due to snow and ice.
Little River is flowing at 279 cubic feet per second (cfs) or 222 feet on the gauge. Median flow for this date is 291 cfs. The water temperature is 36.9 degrees this morning.
Streams in the mountains are flowing close to median flow for this date. The water is cold at all elevations. Fishing for trout will be slow today and over the next several days due to cold water temperatures. Access to streams in the Smokies is very limited.
Fishing for stocked trout in the low elevation rivers will be slow due to the cold water temperatures.
TVA and the Corps will be generating for long periods today due to the high power demand. I did see a couple of exceptions so you might check yourself to see what is going on at your favorite tailwater.
