Little River is flowing at 242 cubic feet per second (cfs) or 2.03 feet on the gauge. Median flow for this date is 352 cfs. The water temperature is 57.4 degrees this morning.
Streams in the Smokies are flowing lower than normal but a good fishing levels. Water temperatures are ideal at most elevations.
If you go fishing in the mountains today, you will enjoy good stream conditions. It may be windy at times. Trout will take dry flies, wet flies and nymphs. The streams are flowing fairly low so presentation and stealth are essential to your success.
Fishing for stocked trout in the low elevations is good. Good fly choices include nymphs, squirmy worms, egg patterns, midge pupa or streamers.
There are breaks in the generation at several dams once again today. You have many choices if are planning to wade or float on a tailwater today. Visit the TVA website from the links below to see what options you have.
